Gracious George - Kempton 15:40

Dual C&D winner Gracious George took a step back in the right direction when third over this C&D last month and he's on a good mark if building on that now (6 lb lower than for his last success here at this time last year). Gracious George kept on inside the final furlong in the manner of a horse about to bounce right back, and the booking of Adam Kirby (has not ridden for the Jimmy Fox yard in the last five seasons) for the first time this afternoon looks significant.

Stellarta - Kempton 16:10

Stellarta did very well on the all-weather last winter, winning twice over C&D, and she should prove all the better for her recent return from a two-month break at Chelmsford when she looked rusty. Returned to 6f, Stellarta did enough with some late headway to think that she'll be back on song this afternoon, when she'll be ridden for the first time by Martin Harley who shows a 40.50-pt profit when riding for Michael Blanshard in the last five seasons.

Invectus Hero - Kempton 16:40

Invectus Hero did hang badly right when disappointing last time, so comes with risks attached, but he wasn't beaten far on his handicap debut over this C&D previously and could bounce back. Invectus Hero actually finished directly behind next-time-out winners Compton Prince and Chetan when fourth of 12 to Only Ten Per Cent that day, disputing the lead around 2f out, and he hails from a yard (Derek Shaw) that have been in a rich vein of form of late.
