With the return to Windsor in his favour and question marks hanging over some of the market principals, Perfect Cracker is our selection...
We're at Wolverhampton, Ayr, and Windsor for Monday's UK SmartPlays...
Imaginary World is a consistent sort and looks likely to put in another good run in the 15:45 at Wolverhampton. She struggled when upped in class last time out, but returns to a more suitable level today. Having taken a welcome drop in the weights and with good claimer Shane Gray taking off another 5 lb, she should have enough to see off the unexposed Bint Malyana.
In the 17:30 at Ayr, it is hoped Awake My Soul can return to winning ways. He hasn't tasted victory since June last year, but has run with credit in much better company than he faces today. His last win came over today's C&D and, having run promisingly at Newmarket when last seen, he should give a bold show. Irish raider Hold The Line looks the main danger.
Godolphin's French import L'Orfeo has attracted support for his first UK start in the 19:40 at Windsor. He is entitled to go close on his French form, but could well need the run so preference is for Clive Cox's Perfect Cracker, who has already landed two C&D wins this season and did not run without credit when beaten at Doncaster last time. With the return to Windsor in his favour and question marks hanging over some of the market principals, he is our selection.
