Haydock 15:35 - Second Wave

Second Wave hasn't been seen since finishing third at Nottingham in April but he returns - having been gelded in the interim - with the look of a well-treated horse, the form of his Redcar handicap win boosted by the exploits of the runner-up. Second Wave boasts an impressive pedigree, has won two of his three starts and, provided all is well on his return from a near-five-month absence, he should prove a cut above today's opposition.

Salisbury 16:15 - Wordcraft

Wordcraft has done little wrong in her career to date, winning impressively on her first two outings before finishing placed the next three times, and she looks to have been found a good opportunity to bounce back to winning ways. Wordcraft has bumped into some unexposed, useful types of late, but there doesn't appear to be any improvers lurking in this contest, and the likeable Wordcraft should prove too good.

Haydock 16:40 - Salieris Mass

Salieris Mass failed to meet expectations on handicap debut at Newmarket last time but the form of that contest has worked out well and he should be given another chance to build on an impressive debut win. Salieris Mass took the scalp of exciting prospect Decorated Knight at Ripon and, based on that performance, looks to be well treated. He's obviously open to improvement on the back of just two starts and ought to give a good account.
