York 13:55 - Tasleet

The William Haggas-trained Tasleet found only the leading juvenile Shalaa too good in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood last time and, back in calmer waters, he can give his in-form yard a third straight win in this valuable sales race. Excessable wasn't seen to best effect in the Super Sprint at Newbury and may offer the greatest threat but Tasleet has improved with each run to date, sets the standard on form and should prove difficult to beat.

York 15:05 - Musaddas

David O'Meara fields a remarkable eight runners in this ultra-competitive handicap but the vote goes to the Saeed Bin Suroor-trained Musaddas. Musaddas hasn't had much racing for a five-year-old and has shown his best form this term, winning a strongly-contested Newmarket handicap (form worked out well) before finishing runner-up over this C&D, unlucky not to finish closer having been denied a clear run. Musaddas remains favourably treated and ought to give a good account if getting the breaks.

York 15:40 - Covert Love

The rapidly-progressive Covert Love took the step up to Group 1 company in her stride when winning the Irish Oaks and she sets the standard based on that performance. That Irish Oaks victory was Covert Love's fourth in succession this season and she remains open to further improvement, so should prove difficult to beat. The reopposing Jack Naylor looks the biggest danger, but Covert Love was in full control throughout the final furlong at the Curragh and is likely to confirm the form.
