15:30 Market Rasen - Pumped Up Kicks

Pumped up Kicks has been a revelation over fences for Warwickshire-based trainer Dan Skelton. The daughter of Flemensfirth won a listed mares' handicap at Cheltenham by nine lengths and then followed up in a novice at Stratford by five lengths and, while this is a much stiffer assignment, Dan Skelton has proven a dab hand at improving his recruits so there may still be more to come.

15:45 Newbury - Excessable

Excessable was an impressive winner on debut and posted another highly-promising effort when edged out in a Beverley minor event by a more-experienced rival who has subsequently won a York nursery. Excessable holds leading claims for a yard which is no stranger to success in this race and, racing from a featherweight, he's a confident selection.

17:35 Ripon - Grumpy Angel

Richard Fahey's three-year-old Grumpy Angel looks to have been found a good opportunity. Grumpy Angel wasn't knocked about in maidens and shaped with promise when finishing third on her return from a nine-month layoff at Hamilton, so she is one to be interested in from what is evidently a fair mark.
