There is some fantastic racing spread across the country on Saturday and Timeform have found the best bets from Newmarket and York...
York 13:45 - Musaddas
Musaddas proved better than ever when making a winning return at Newmarket in May, beating Jacob Black in ready fashion, and he appears to be fairly treated from a 7-lb higher mark, particularly when you consider the runner-up's subsequent exploits. Jacob Black has since won a Sandown handicap and run two crackers in competitive events, while the third and fourth have also won subsequently and are now rated much higher. Musaddas was ultimately well on top in that strong event, and looks to hold an obvious chance here.
Newmarket 15:45 - Muhaarar
The inaugural running of the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot had a competitive look to it on paper but Muhaarar turned the contest into a one-sided procession, destroying his rivals with a blistering turn of foot, and he can confirm himself a top-class sprinter by beating his elders in the July Cup. Given his lightly-raced profile as a sprinter, it's conceivable to think that Muhaarar has even more to offer, though a similar performance to last time would likely prove good enough.
York 16:35 - William of Orange
William of Orange stepped up on his reappearance effort when finishing third to Notarised in a 14-furlong handicap at Goodwood, and he looks sure to relish the extra emphasis on stamina here. The form of William of Orange's latest run was given a boost when Notarised came out and won the valuable Old Newton Cup, and Sir Mark Prescott's charge looks to be on a good mark, even before considering that he's likely to improve for this step up in trip to an extended two miles.
