Imada - Carlisle 15:20

This novice hurdle could easily come down to just Imada and Dakota Grey, the two previous hurdle winners in the field, and our preference goes to the former who created a really good impression when making a winning debut over timber at at Ayr in October. Imada disappointed since when fourth of 16 to Expedite under a penalty at Huntingdon, but that he's been given 85 days to recover suggests something came to light for that display and he's taken to get right back on track here.

Never Says Never - Ffos Las 15:40

Never Says Never won handicap chases at Exeter in November and Lingfield in December before falling two out at the former track last time, a length down in second at the time, and he can quickly return to winning ways here. Anthony Honeyball's eight-year-old remains relatively unexposed after nine hurdles starts, five of them in handicaps, and should stay this 2½m trip. He may also have benefited from the 15-week break given his last three starts came in the space of 12 days.

Mr Moonshine - Carlisle 15:55

Mr Moonshine looked as good as ever at the age of 12 when making a winning return over hurdles at Haydock last month and is potentially well treated back over fences (won off 5 lb higher in 2014). Sue Smith's charge was in the doldrums last season but a year off the course evidently did him a power of good judged on his 12-length defeat of Quel Elite at the Merseyside track, and it's worth noting that his last four wins came in pairs.
