Kempton 14:30 - Brother Tedd

Brother Tedd brought the curtain down on last season's campaign by winning a big-field Sandown handicap, and there could be more to come this term. Trainer Philip Hobbs has a good record with horses returning from a break, and Brother Tedd makes his reappearance from a fair-looking mark, so he has plenty to recommend him.

Plumpton 14:55 - The Cider Maker

The Cider Maker has to prove his stamina for this extended 25-furlong trip, but he looks the type to improve markedly for the switch to fences and is worth siding with on his chasing debut. The Cider Maker showed ability over hurdles and ran up to his best when finishing runner-up on his return at Wincanton, but he is expected to make an even better chaser and can provide his in-form trainer with another winner.

Kempton 15:05 - Smad Place

Smad Place has a good record fresh and is taken to land this interesting graduation chase on his return. Alan King's charge was unable to score last term, but he kept lofty company and did run right up to his best when finishing fourth behind Silviniaco Conti at Aintree, beaten under 10 lengths. He should find this much easier and ought to go close.
