The Corsican enhanced his reputation in defeat when running a cracker to finish fourth in the Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot, shaping better than the bare result as he made his effort from further back than ideal. The powerful manner in which he stayed on over 10 furlongs suggests that he will prove as effective over this trip, and he can continue on his upward curve.

Goodwood 14:35 - Latharnach

Latharnach took another step forward when finishing runner-up to Gleneagles in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and he looks to have been found a good opportunity down in grade. Latharnach claimed the notable scalp of Time Test as a juvenile and boasts a progressive profile, so there's no suggestion his excellent second last time was a fluke, and he ought to prove extremely difficult to beat in this lesser contest.

Goodwood 15:45 - Moviesta

Moviesta has an excellent record at Goodwood having won the King George Stakes in 2013 before finishing a close-up third in last season's renewal, and he looks sure to launch a bold bid again. Moviesta has joined Eddie Lynam this season and has already proven to be as good for his new yard, running creditably when finishing third at the Curragh recently having travelled as well as any.
