Romsdal looks one of the notable up-and-comers in the staying division and the 5 lb he receives from Brown Panther could prove crucial here. Romsdal dictated a steady pace at Newbury last time, but that did him no favours as it developed into a test of speed, so he ought to be suited by this stiffer test of stamina.

York 15:45 - Yasmeen

Plenty of potentially smart fillies are on show here, none more so than the John Gosden-trained Yasmeen, who created a really good impression when making a winning start to her career in a big field at Newbury last month. That race has already thrown up a couple of winners and Yasmeen should take this step up in class in her stride.

York 17:20 - Rosenbaum

Rosenbaum has been on a roll since the blinkers have been applied and he can make light of a 12 lb rise for his wide-margin Southwell win and complete the hat-trick. Rosenbaum destroyed his rivals at Southwell and could still have a bit more to offer, still lightly race after all.
