Both Catterick and Ayr survive. Timeform's SmartPlays team focus on the former.
Fromthetop - 13:35 Catterick
Fromthetop's jumping remains a concern, but he went close returning from a long absence at Huntingdon last month and remains potentially well treated in this sphere (winner over hurdles from this mark). He's narrowly preferred to the consistent Wakhan, with recent-winner Always Bold another to consider.
Conquisto - 14:40 Catterick
Conquisto ran into a bit of a handicap blot in the shape of the smart Volnay de Thaix at Huntingdon last time and can take advantage of his lower mark in this sphere on first run for Brian Ellison, possibly at the main expense of former stablemate Local Hero, who has been given a real chance by the handicapper. The likeable Stopped Out may prove best of the rest.
Grate Fella - 15:10 Catterick
Grate Fella was an easy winner over 19f here on his penultimate start and looks on a good mark on that form back in a handicap. There are plenty of potential dangers, including Mojolika, who proved much better for his chase debut when runner-up at Wetherby, and Tiptoeaway, who took a step back in the right direction at Musselburgh three weeks ago.
