Exeter 13:05 - Bredon Hill Lad

It's a handicap hurdle over an extended 21 furlongs under consideration first and it should pay to keep Bredon Hill Lad on side. This is a second outing in quick succession since returning from an absence but he's open to further improvement and the manner in which he won at Fontwell last Sunday suggested the extra weight he carries today won't be enough to stop him taking another step forward. Brantingham Breeze merits respect now back over timber but the selection is taken to improve past him. 

Exeter 14:05 - Jupiter Rex

We remain at Exeter for the second bet of the day which comes in a handicap chase over three miles. Although Big Society and Barton Gift have to be taken seriously if fit enough on their seasonal reappearances, the one for our money is Jupiter Rex. He shaped with plenty of encouragement when reappearing after a long absence over hurdles at this track recently and is worth chancing now his sights have been set on the larger obstacles once again. He certainly knows how to win and with his recent pipe-opener behind him can capitalise on his fitness advantage. 

Towcester 14:45 - Chavoy

We head to Towcester to round off proceedings and a handicap hurdle over three miles in which we must risk the fitness of Chavoy on his return to action. He has won three times over hurdles in Britain as well as being a fairly useful chaser in France earlier in his career. When last seen at May he put in an excellent effort at Hexham over fences, and on the pick of his form despite shouldering top weight here should be extremely competitive. Providing he is fit and firing he could cause an upset with the hat-trick seeking American Life and should be a decent price to do so.
