Given that Cue Card has questions to answer following his below-par reappearance, the pair to focus on could be Taquin du Seuil and Silviniaco Conti (both sport first-time cheekpieces). That duo were second and fifth respectively behind Menorah in the Charlie Hall, but they'll be sharper this time and Jonjo O'Neill's charge, who is unexposed at this trip, earns the vote. Dynaste is also respected.

Glenquest - 15:35 Haydock

Glenquest made an encouraging debut for Stuart Crawford over hurdles at Down Royal and should go well if transferring that form back to fences, with the booking of Richard Johnson catching the eye. Renard should do better with a run under his belt also, while Midnight Appeal shaped encouragingly last time and enters calculations.
