Timeform on Echo Zulu
Honey Cake (Belmont R1, 18:00 BST) was a useful performer when trained in France by Henri-Alex Pantall, producing her best effort when winning a listed race at Fontainebleau last November. She was below form when down the field on her debut for Jonathan Thomas at Woodbine in July, but that was a Grade 2 in which she might have needed the run after eight months off. She is likely to do better now back in calmer waters and gets a narrow vote from Madeleine Must and Flower Point.
My Sister Nat (Belmont R8, 21:44 BST) won this Grade 3 last year when it was staged at Saratoga and, though beaten in each of her eight subsequent starts, she has continued to run with great credit in defeat. She ran right up to her best when third in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Stakes at Saratoga last time, putting in some good late work to be beaten a little over two lengths. This represents a significant drop in grade and she seems sure to mount a bold bid. Orglandes is feared most ahead of Always Shopping.
Echo Zulu (Belmont R9, 22:16 BST) is unbeaten in two starts to date and showed smart form when winning the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga last time, forging clear in the straight to land the spoils by four lengths in impressive fashion. That form sets the standard in this line-up and she is likely to progress further. An exciting prospect, she is very hard to oppose in her hat-trick bid, leaving Jester Calls Nojoy and Saucy Lady T to battle it out for the minor honours.
