Timeform on Metal Man
Metal Man - 17:20 Kilbeggan
Metal Man appeared not to get home on his first attempt at three miles at Gowran Park in July, but he proved his stamina in no uncertain terms when producing a much-improved effort in a handicap hurdle at Bellewstown last time, finding only a last-time-out winner too strong. That form is just about the best on offer and he will go close if running to a similar level. Trainer Gordon Elliott's other runner, Soldiers Hill, could provide the main threat.
Walk Me Home - 17:50 Kilbeggan
The lightly raced Walk Me Home showed much improved form when fitted with cheekpieces and stepped up in trip at Wexford last month, getting off the mark at the second time of asking in handicap company. She impressed with how smoothly she travelled, and she was well on top at the finish, looking a mare to follow at this lowly level. She has been hit with a 13 lb rise in the weights but still looks on a fair mark and is completely unexposed as a stayer.
High Sparrow - 18:50 Kilbeggan
High Sparrow had previously been held back by jumping errors over fences, but he was able to capitalise on his much lower chase mark over course and distance last month, justifying strong support to run out a ready winner. He has gone up 12 lb, but still looks fairly treated based on what he has achieved over hurdles, and he should go close if putting in a decent round of jumping. The excellent form of the Joseph O'Brien yard is another factor in his favour.
