15:55 - PRINCE OF BEL LIR (8) was in demand at the Breeze-Ups and showed a good idea why when shaping really well in a good-looking event on debut at Haydock last time. That form stands out here and he looks sure to improve and should be up to winning this. Bahrain Pride and Fivethousandtoone are a couple of other expensively-bought colts to demand real respect first time up.

16:30 - One or two of these may possess more scope for the longer term, but LONGLAI (5) sets a good standard judged on his latest close third in a Glorious Goodwood maiden. The drop to six furlongs should be in his favour and he should prove hard to beat. Touchwood is a likely-looking type and may be next best ahead of Inveigle and Beautiful News, both of whom should leave their debut efforts well behind in time.

17:00 - ENDERMAN (2) has shaped well in a couple of decent-looking maidens and, with improvement likely now upped to six furlongs on this nursery debut, he gets the nod with Oisin Murphy in the hot-seat for a yard that are going along nicely. Iris Dancer possesses a very similar profile and is also expected to do better now switched to a nursery. She is clear next best ahead of recent all-weather winner The Good Ting.

17:30 - There should be better to come from ALWAATN SOUND (9), who pulled clear of the rest with the runner-up when scoring at Hamilton recently. The return to this trip shouldn't be an issue and he's on a potentially handy mark for this handicap bow. Cotai Again and Miss Thoughtful both have each-way claims judged on their latest efforts, while Monsieur Patat possesses potential but may need a stiffer test.

18:00 - Paul Midgley certainly knows a thing or two about training sprinters and SON AND SANNIE (4) is a potentially useful recruit for the yard. He quickened clear in good style when opening his account at Naas in June and could have plenty more to offer on these shores. Haveoneyerself has improved this season and should be on the premises again, along with the consistent Second Collection.

18:30 - The manner of ICE SPRITE's (6) handicap debut success at Newmarket last month strongly suggested that this 8 lb higher mark will be well within reach. Indeed, she was well on top at the finish that day and this step up in trip may help unlock further improvement, so she is a confident selection to follow up. Guroor got within a neck of the progressive Almareekh (winner again since) at Doncaster and is next on the list ahead of Queen of The Sea.

19:00 - It's taken a while for DOMINO DARLING (1) to get back to the track but she remains a potentially smart filly with the form of her debut success at Doncaster having worked out nicely. She can make it two from two before having her sights raised (holds a Group 2 entry in Ireland). Newcomer Peronista is the likely danger if ready to go, while Rose Grey probably has more to offer.

19:30 - GEORGE OF HEARTS (1) won a back-end Newmarket handicap in good style when last seen nine months ago, and is chanced to make a successful return over this longer trip. The unexposed Pledge of Honour is feared most stepping up in distance, with Ashazuri and runaway Chepstow-winner Gloweth among others to consider in a competitive event.

20:00 - It's been a while since DEFTERA LAD (9) last ran on turf, but he's on a good mark on his first crack on it for Sylvester Kirk and gets the vote under Hollie Doyle in a thin contest. Mrs Benson has solid place claims if giving her running again, while She's On The Edge makes a bit of appeal on her handicap debut.
