"The eight-year-old is a multiple winner over hurdles and remains capable of better as a chaser..."
Timeform take you through the card at Perth on Tuesday...
16:00 - CHOSEN FLAME (7) made a good return to action when second here three weeks ago and is selected to go one better under Richard Johnson, who has an impressive 27% strike rate at Perth in recent seasons. California Soul made a reasonable start for new trainer Dave Roberts when fourth at Uttoxeter and could pose a threat if building on that, while Zabeel Star arrives fit from the Flat and is on a competitive mark in this sphere.
16:30 - PETRASTAR (1) has taken well to hurdling and has been found an excellent opportunity to maintain his unbeaten record in this sphere. He comfortably sets the standard on weight-adjusted ratings, despite conceding at least a stone to each of his rivals, and there should be even better to come from him as a hurdler. C'est le Bonheur looked a good prospect when winning his bumper at Sedgefield but that was almost two years ago, while Dionysis was let go cheaply after his hurdling bow by Willie Mullins having previously shown plenty in a bumper at Navan.
17:05 - SOMETHINBOUTANGELA (4) arrives in form after a good third over hurdles and has a pointing background, so she makes plenty of appeal on her first go at chasing for Dr Richard Newland, who typically enjoys plenty of success at this time of year (29% strike rate in summer). Most of the others have questions to answer but both Court Dreaming and Dr Hooves could prove a threat if back on their game.
17:40 - CRAIGMOR (3) proved that all is well following a lengthy layoff when scoring at Market Rasen and a 5 lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from going in again. The one caveat is that any rain would not be welcomed by connections, given that he appears to be at his best on good/good to firm. The mare Chocolat Noir battled well at Cartmel and is next on the list ahead of Petite Ganache.
18:10 - FUBAR (9) has found plenty when runner-up over shorter trips at Market Rasen the last twice and looks capable of opening his account back up in distance. Trongate looks the biggest danger on his second start back with Mike Smith, while Celtic Flames is hard to completely discount.
18:40 - GREAT COLACI (7) wasn't at his best when last seen over hurdles, but he has been in fine form on the Flat since the restart and also has some good course form to his name, so he is worth chancing to get back on track off a handy mark. Astute Boy is also weighted to go well so rates a big threat with C&D winner Lady Samback another to consider in an open handicap.
19:10 - FORECAST (2) has shown a definite aptitude for this game and should strip fitter following his reappearance at Market Rasen, where he was making his debut for Dr Richard Newland. The eight-year-old is a multiple winner over hurdles and remains capable of better as a chaser, so he gets the nod ahead of Cracking Destiny, who resumes in this sphere on a workable mark, and course specialists Boy's On Tour and Amalfi Doug.
19:40 - KATALYSTIC (4) could be worth chancing here. He has posted his two best efforts over fences at this venue and was a decisive all-the-way winner of a C&D handicap on his latest run at this trip. King's Wharf and Istimraar may emerge as the main dangers. Fresh New Dawn is also worthy of consideration.
20:10 - HEADSCARF LIL (6) is taken to put her experience to good use here and open her account after three solid efforts in the frame, representing the Nicky Richards yard that continues in good form (four winners and four placed from last 14 runners). Lady Bowes also has the form to play a big part if at her best, while Against All Odds appeals most of the newcomers.
