Timeform take you through the card at Perth on Monday...

"...very much the one to beat if none the worse for that fall..."

Timeform on Heavey

14:10 - GETAROUND (1) is impossible to oppose in a weak contest to kick off the card. He was impressive on his hurdling debut at Exeter in March, winning by 10 lengths, and should prove well up to defying a penalty with further improvement on the cards.

14:40 - WALKIN IN THE RAIN (7) has shaped encouragingly on his last two starts at this venue, including when filling the runner-up spot here eight days ago. The first two pulled clear of the remainder on that occasion and the form is already working out (fifth won next-time-out), so Walkin In The Rain looks to hold sound claims of going one place better from the same mark, especially as first-time cheekpieces may eke out even more.

15:10 - HEAVEY (6) was an unlucky loser at Fontwell 10 days ago, closing between rivals when he slipped and fell on landing at the second last, despite making no semblance of a mistake. He can race from the same mark here and rates very much the one to beat if none the worse for that fall, with further progress not ruled out for the Neil Mulholland yard that continues in good heart (68% of horses running to form).

15:40 - OLEG (8) has developed into a near-useful performer on the Flat this year, notably recording back-to-back wins at Southwell and Pontefract. Admittedly, his last start in this sphere saw him pulled up at Kempton last October, but he had valid excuses on that occasion (reportedly bled/had irregular heartbeat). He was previously a winner from only 6 lb lower at Wincanton and could be worth another chance here, with his recent improvement on the Flat suggesting he'll be suited by going beyond two miles for just the second time over jumps.

16:15 - EFFET SPECIAL (2) ran right up to his best when winning over course and distance last month, forging clear after leading two out to land the spoils by six and a half lengths. That form sets the standard here on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings - even with a 7 lb higher mark taken into account - and he looks sure to mount a bold follow-up bid if arriving in the same sort of mood (has been inconsistent in the past).

16:50 - CRAIGMOR (4) has been in good form over hurdles recently, winning at Market Rasen in July and then running at least as well in defeat when second at this venue last time. The winner advertised the strength of that form when following up on his next start, so there are plenty of reasons to be positive about Craigmor on his return to fences, racing from the same mark as last time and again partnered by Richard Johnson, who is a jockey to follow here with an impressive 27% strike rate at Perth in recent seasons.

17:20 - RESTANDBETHANKFUL (5) could be worth siding with on debut, especially as those with previous experience set only a fair standard in this bumper. Trainer Olly Murphy has a good record with his debutants in this sphere, while it will also be interesting to see whether the market speaks in favour of Restandbethankful, who is related to winners under Rules and cost his fair share when bought by these connections as a three-year-old.
