Timeform on For Jim

16:15 - PISGAH PIKE (12) took a marked step forward when runner-up (pair clear) to the talented Sangha River at Market Rasen last time and going one better should prove no more than a formality in a particularly weak novice. Decoration of War is the obvious danger but very few others make any appeal.

16:50 - SOMETHINBOUTANGELA (1) was value for extra when making a successful chasing debut at Perth three weeks ago, always holding on despite idling on the run-in, ultimately landing the spoils by a neck even after her saddle slipped. That form sets the standard here on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, even with a 7 lb higher mark taken into account. She remains open to more improvement, too, so it's easy to see why she's so strongly fancied in her follow-up bid.

17:25 - MELODY OF SCOTLAND (2) should have come on plenty for her Uttoxeter return and could be worth chancing now back at the scene of her last win, with the fine form of jockey Richie McLernon (five winners from last 10 rides) also in her favour. War Brigade and Wild Sam, who has re-joined Iain Jardine, are a couple of others to note in a competitive heat.

18:00 - FOR JIM (8) was gambled on and shaped as if back in form when fourth at Uttoxeter two weeks ago, the rain-softened ground possibly counting against him. He is a winner over course and distance in the past and has dropped to a good mark, so he could be worth chancing to build on the promise of last time in a race where several of his rivals arrive with something to prove. The in-form Dee Star is a notable exception and can emerge as the chief threat, leaving Dutch Canyon and Captain Mowbray to complete the shortlist.

18:30 - FOR THREE (3) hasn't been seen since finishing a creditable third at Musselburgh back in February. He won twice over course and distance last spring, though, and gets the vote to come out on top now back down to his last winning mark, with the booking of champion jockey Brian Hughes also catching the eye. Xpo Universel shaped as if better for the run on his return, so he gets the nod for second ahead of Methodtothemadness.

19:00 - ROLL OF THUNDER (5) did well last season, including over this course and distance, and he should make a bold bid with his reappearance under his belt. Tom Scudamore has been getting a good tune out of Agentleman, who can give the selection most to think about, along with Chain of Beacons.

19:30 - EVER SO MUCH (8) has two ways of running but will take plenty of stopping under a penalty if reproducing the form he showed to resume winning ways back over hurdles at Cartmel 10 days ago. Emirat de Catana clearly possesses ability but bigger threats may be posed by Duty Girl and Maison d'Or.
