Timeform take you through the card at Haydock on Saturday...
13:10 - FANCY MAN (4) built on his debut win to finish second in listed company at Salisbury two weeks ago, running to a useful level up in grade, seeing out the mile trip well as he pulled nicely clear of the remainder. He remains capable of better still and is the one to beat.
13:45 - KHALOOSY (6) arrived at Royal Ascot on the back of just a pair of all-weather starts towards the end of 2019 (winning one), and though he showed he's still rough around the edges with the way he hung across the track, he looked a sure-fire pattern winner of the future as he dismissed one who was 7 lb well-in, and who routed the rest himself. He failed to repeat that form at Goodwood next time out, but excuses can be made for his underwhelming performance on that occasion, and he is well worth chancing to bounce back to winning ways.
14:15 - ARTHURIAN FABLE (2) backed up his Sandown win with an excellent second in the strongly-contested Melrose Handicap at York two weeks back, improving further for all he was unable to defy a 6 lb rise in the weights against anther progressive type. He is developing into a smart middle-distance stayer with a good attitude and is expected to be bang there.
14:50 - RHYTHMIC INTENT (7) put a disappointing effort behind him as he proved himself better than ever racing beyond a mile and a half for the first time, running out a decisive winner of a Newbury handicap last month. He is up 6 lb for that win but goes really well on soft ground and should have more to offer at this trip.
15:25 - ART POWER (8) made it four consecutive wins in impressive style when landing the Lacken Stakes at Naas in July, putting up a very smart performance to follow up his Royal Ascot success in equally emphatic fashion. He was below-par in the Nunthorpe subsequently, the sheer test of speed not looking his thing, but it could be best to overlook that run, and given Art Power's overall profile is a progressive one, he is taken to get back on the up.
16:00 - A dual winner last term, including over this course and distance, JABBAROCKIE (3) has progressed again this season, winning at Newmarket on his return and shaping well on plenty of occasions thereafter, notably when sixth at York last time, shaping better than the distance beaten suggests and proving he remains in good form. The step back to five furlongs should show him to much better effect and he is worthy of respect from a 1 lb lower mark.
16:35 - MIKMAK (5) was a winner over this course and distance on heavy ground last summer, so he will have no issue with today's underfoot conditions, and though he is yet to fire this term, he did shape as though back in form when third at Ripon last time, the race not getting to bottom of him after being caught too far back. He looks well handicapped now having edged down the weights all season and this could be a good opportunity for him to strike.
