13:00 - KOOL MOE DEE (1) showed improved form to get off the mark at Southwell last time, putting his experience to good use and seeing the six furlong trip out well. He has been improving all the time recently and makes his handicap debut from a lenient mark, so holds good claims.
13:35 - COLOUR IMAGE (1) ran his best race when fourth in a listed event at Meydan, challenging over a furlong out but no extra close home. That form has worked out reasonably well with the first two home going in subsequently, and with the application of first-time cheekpieces possibly able to eke out a bit more improvement from Colour Image, his chance is there for all to see.
14:10 - FOR RICHARD (1) showed improved form to get off the mark over this course and distance earlier in the month, leaning into the runner-up entering the final furlong but asserting in the last 100 yards to win by a length. He is a sizeable-looking individual who's probably taken time, and he gets the vote to go in again now the penny has dropped.
14:45 - TOYBOX (1) turned in her best effort of the season to finish second over this course and distance earlier in the month, and she was a little unlucky not to have gone one better in truth as the winner leant right into her a furlong out. She's only won once but looks capable from this mark.
15:15 - SUN TIDE (7) shaped with plenty of encouragement when second on debut back in June, and she improved on that effort at the second attempt at Chepstow last time, travelling as well as any, shaken up over two furlongs out and taking a while to hit full stride, but finishing very strongly. She is bred to be at least useful, as well as to relish this step up in trip, and she does look to have been underestimated by the assessor on her handicap debut.
15:45 - ALBA DEL SOLE (5) certainly has her quicks, and she again hamstrung herself when slowly away over this course and distance last time, but she got herself back into contention and finished well for second. She is undoubtedly well handicapped and has to be taken seriously.
16:15 - ROSA GOLD (7) completed the hat-trick under a penalty at Chepstow last time, doing well under the circumstances, short of room and forced to switch over a furlong out, but staying on well to lead in the last 100 yards, well on top at the finish. She is hit with a 10 lb rise now but has more to offer at this longer trip, so she is taken to complete the four-timer.
16:50 - TAHAN (10) didn't exactly set the world alight during his time in Ireland, both over hurdles and on the Flat, but he has joined a yard, in Olly Murphy's, who generally get the best out of newcomers, and given he can race off a basement mark, a bold showing may well be on the cards.
