Money For Jam is overpriced at Bangor
Bangor - 14:35 - Back Money For Jam
Money For Jam was pulled up when last seen at Market Rasen but there were excuses for that poor run and I think he has a fairly good chance to get off the mark on chasing debut at Bangor this afternoon.
He started his career in the pointing field and showed some promise on debut at Chaddesley Corbett before not showing much at all in his first three starts under rules.
He ran better at this track on handicap debut but failed to build on that next time at Ayr when sent off favourite.
Money For Jam's first two starts last year, both at Uttoxeter, were far more promising performances as he travelled strongly for a long way on both occasions before not seeing out the 2m4f trip.
On his last start, he was looking to edge left at the hurdles and was reported to have made a noise so the return to a left-handed track and a wind op could see a much improved performance from him. I think the shorter trip is also likely to be no issue for Money For Jam given how well he travelled in those two races at Uttoxeter.
There is a slight concern over the ground as while he handles some cut in the ground I'm not sure he wants it too soft and his jumping did lack fluency at times on his point debut but given his potential for improvement I think he's overpriced and any 8/19.00 or bigger appeals.
