Get Steve's three finish acca tips for Valhalla
It's the US PGA Championship at Valhalla this week and, with perfect timing, you can now back golf place accas on Betfair Sportsbook.
Betfair are offering eight and 10 place markets in the outright betting, enhancing the options for punters who want to have a bet on the second golf major of 2024.
There are a myriad of choices on the side markets at this year's US PGA Championship and Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy both to finish inside the top 10 at 5/42.25 would be my idea of the strongest at odds-against.
There are lots of options in the #OddsOnThat section and I quite like the 11/43.75 available on Corey Conners in the Top Canadian market but the brand-new option to construct your own Top Finish Acca is fantastic and I've got three bets there.
Back Rory and Bhatia double @ 2/13.00
As highlighted in the Find me a 100 winner piece, my idea of the best longshot this week is the 22-year-old Californian, Akshay Bhatia, and he looks a terrific price at 6/42.50 to finish inside the top 40.
I've doubled him up with Rory McIlroy to finish inside the top 20, and that pushes the odds up to over 2/13.00.
Having won his last two tournaments, Rory is full of pep and I'd be very surprised if he failed to finish inside the top 20 at a venue where he's already won.
Back McIlroy top 20 finish & Bhatia top 40
Xander and Byeong make perfect pair @ 4/15.00
Consistency is the key in the place markets so Xander Schauffele, who has finished inside the top 20 in four of the last five US PGA Championships and in five of his last six events, is the perfect partner for the bang in-form Korean, Byeong Hun An.
An's PGA record isn't fabulous, but he arrives in Kentucky with current form figures reading 16-64-4-3 so the 4/15.00 about those two finishing in the top 20 looks more than fair.
Back Schauffele and An for top 20 finish
Conners and Straka for top 40
And finally, the in-form pairing of the aforementioned Conners and Austria's Sepp Straka make for a decent bet to both finish inside the top 40 at 2.829/5 combined.
Back Conners and Straka for top 40 finish
