Scheffler returns to event where he has three second-place finishes

Current Form Picks

The English player was fourth at the Valspar last week and, the other side of a missed cut at the Players Championship, made the top 20 at the Genesis. In a field that's short on current form this week, those numbers are worth noting.

Jordan Smith 100/1101.00

A third place finish at the Valspar, along with 16th at the Phoenix Open and 23rd at the Cognizant Classic, mean Smith has had a decent start to 2026 when playing Stateside. He's never played at this event so will aim to make a big splash on his first appearance.

David Lipsky @ 250/1251.00

Lipsky missed out by one shot to Matt Fitzpatrick at the Valspar Championship. Can the American do what the Englishman did and follow a second-place finish with a PGA Tour victory? He didn't play here last year but was 37th in 2024.

Course Form Picks

Scottie Scheffler @ 7/24.50

The world number one will start as the favourite this week and, with consecutive second-place finishes in the past two years, as well as another runner-up spot in 2022, this is an ideal opportunity for him to go one better and set himself up nicely for the Masters in a fortnight.

Tony Finau 100/1101.00

The American was in the top 20 last week at the Valspar Championship which means he comes to this tournament - which he won in in 2023 before finishing as runner-up the following - in decent nick. At a big price, he's one to have onside.

Aaron Rai @ 100/1101.00

The Englishman missed the cut last year, and he has done so at his last two events coming into this, but he was seventh in 2024 and '23, as well as finishing top 20 in 2022. At three-figure odds, it could be worth backing him to rediscover his form at a venue where he has played well.
