Last week, the Australian was tied for second at a course where he had previously performed well. Can he go one better at Torrey, where he has four top-10 finishes to his credit, including a third in 2022? Day will believe he can carry his momentum from one west coat course to another.

Ryan Gerrard 33/134.00

Last week's second-placed to Scottie Scheffler was the third tournament in a row at which Gerrard has finished as the runner up. His 15th here last year means he will fancy his chances of troubling the top of the leaderboard again.

Chris Gotterup @ 33/134.00

The American Gotterup delivered for Dave Tindall when winning the Sony Open a fortnight ago and now returns after taking last week off. He finished 25th here last time and will aiming to build on that, and his recent win, this time out.

Farmers Insurance Open 2026 - Contenders based on course form

Xander Schauffele @ 16/117.00

The Californian looks set to start the event as co-favourite and a quick look at his record at Torrey shows why - he finished ninth two years ago, 13th in 2023 and second in 2021. The market indicates that he is in a prime position to deliver.

Sam Stevens @ 50/151.00

After finishing second here last year, and sixth at last week's event, the 29-year-old cries out to be backed at a big price. He came 13th at this venue in 2024, compounding the sense that Stevens is one to have onside this week.

Keegan Bradley @ 28/129.00

A missed cut at at Wai'alae two weeks go means the US Ryder Cup captain did not get off to a good start in 2026. At a course where he was 15th last year and runner-up in 2023, however, we should be able to expect much better.
