  • Fleetwood and Rory fired up for Dubai season finale

  • Lowry set to impress again and so are both Hojgaard bros

DP World Tour Championship 2025 - Two contenders based on current form

Tommy Fleetwood @ 6/17.00

After finishing second in Abu Dhabi last week, Fleetwood should be in the hunt again. He won in Delhi a month ago and is have a superb post-Ryder Cup autumn. Two years ago, he was runner up here for the second time in his career and before that fifth, so the Englishman has course form on his side too.

Shane Lowry @ 22/123.00

Another player who is one to consider for both his current form and what he has done at this venue in the past - this time at a much bigger price. Lowry was 12th last week and third in India on his previous appearance. He is making a strong end to the season and, on a course where he was third last year and inside the top 20 prior to that, there is no reason to believe he won't impress again.

Nicolai Hojgaard @ 16/117.00

Nicolai finished third last week in Abu Dhabi and was only a shot away from making the play-off that was won by Aaron Rai. The Dane's impressive showing followed his 14th-placed finish at the Baycurrent Classic last month. And get this - he won this tournament in 2023.

DP World Tour Championship 2025 - Two contenders based on course form

Rory McIlroy @ 4/15.00

It is not difficult to see why Rory is the favourite this week. The Northern Irishman in Abu Dhabi last week and now makes the short journey to a tournament where he is the defending champion. He came fourth in 2023 and sixth the year before that. He was fourth in 2019. Quite simply, he loves playing here and, arriving at the end of a brilliant year, he should be raring to go.

Rasmus Hojgaard 20/121.00

Like his brother, Rasmus loves playing here. He was the runner-up here last year to Rory and that result did not come out of nowhere. The Dane previously finished 11th in 2023 and seventh before that. He was a respectable 23rd in Abu Dhabi last week but believe he can do much better this time out.

Tyrrell Hatton 10/111.00

A quick glance at previous years' results leave you in no doubt that the Englishman has an affinity for this course. He finished sixth last year, 11th prior to that and was runner up in 2022. He has four top 10 finishes in his last five appearances at the venue, so simply cannot be ruled out. Last month, he was second at the Alfred Dunhill.
