Will McIlroy win more Major championships in 2026?
McIlroy's win at the Masters was his first tournament victory since he won the Green Jacket 12 months ago. The catharsis of completing his career Grand Slam left him drained and he didn't take another title in 2025.
He arrived Augusta looking relaxed, however, and knowing what he needed to do to become the first player since Woods in 2001 and '02 to triumph at Augusta two years on the trot.
Will McIlroy go on to win more Major titles in 2026? He didn't manage to follow up with any more in 2025 but that doesn't mean he won't be in contention this time.
Retaining the Masters is notoriously difficult and, if McIlroy can do that, he can do anything.
There is only one month to until the next Major when the US PGA Championship takes place at Aronimink GC, Newton Square, Pennsylvania from May 14-17.
Scheffler won the US PGA last year and is 7/24.50 favourite to follow up with another victory. McIlroy won this tournament in 2012 and '14 and at [7/1] is the second favourite to add a third title.
The following month, from 18-21 June, it is the US Open at Shinnecock Hills GC, Southampton, New York. Again the market is dominated by Scheffler 4/15.00, who has the opportunity to complete his own career Grand Slam at this event, and McIlroy 7/18.00.
It is 12 years since McIlroy won The Open and he is 15/28.50 to end his wait for a second title when the final Major of 2026 takes place at Royal Birkdale, Southport, from 16-19 July.
The Rory rollercoaster may not be finished yet and it will be fascinating to see if he can reach more peaks in 2026.
