Michael Vaughan: I want to see Baz McCullum coach England
I want to see Baz McCullum coach. I want him to coach the England cricket team. He should've been in the country and around the game earlier for optics. Jamie Smith going back to Surrey.. he's clearly being technically coached better at Surrey. He's working on his technique better at Surrey than he is with the England team.
I want to see this England management coach and improve this team. The word technique in English cricket has been like a foreign body for a few years. Cricket is a very technical game and if you don't have technique then you won't survive. We don't watch every England training session, but I don't think this team are coached as well as they can be.
I'm sure they can be but It's almost like they feel they can't be working in the nets on someone's technique because it's deemed a weakness.
Alastair Cook: I am categorically not going to be an England selector
Alastair Cook: I've had text message after text message from the skipper saying, 'you are' and I said, 'no I'm not.' He said, why are you lying to me? I am categorically not going to be a selector for England.
To be the chairman of selectors, you need to be a really good figurehead because you need to be able to speak to the media and the fans very well to explain decisions. They've also got to be able to stand up to Ben Stokes and Baz McCullum and give an alternative view.
At certain times, you've looked at a side and gone 'actually, I'm not sure that's right.' Stokes and Baz have been able to push their way through.
Alex Hartley: I could do it part-time, at the start of the season before the international season starts. I'll pick your openers and then once I've done that, it is not my problem!
David Lloyd: I could do that job because I have no other commitments, I can tell a player and I'm not after anyone's job. I'm out of work worldwide! You know how to pick a player through nous, experience. If you've got the right person who has good knowledge and passion for the game, that's important.
David Lloyd: Jimmy Anderson would say yes to being recalled for England
Jimmy Anderson has been absolutely box office. Of course, he'd say yes to an England recall but It's never going to happen. It'd take a lot of injuries in the current side for him to be asked again I think. He's been absolutely brilliant for Lancashire. Captain of the team, they're tight and have got good know-how.
Alastair Cook: Jacob Bethell could be England's opener in the summer Test matches
Jacob Bethell could open in the summer for England. I think that top order batting, the way Jacob played at Sydney against that attack in those conditions, I'm certain that he could open. If you can bat number three then you can open.
Bethell shouldn't really be it because he's not opening, he's sitting on his arse in the IPL not doing anything. Ideally, he could come back and open for Warwickshire to help England.
Alex Hartley: I don't think the England woman's team will win the T20 World Cup
I don't think the England woman's team will win the T20 World Cup. They have got a chance. They've got a brilliant group and should get to the semi-finals. But we all know what T20 cricket is like. England have been disappointing since 2017. They should've won more and brought another World Cup home. They have massive pressure on them this summer to win that World Cup. They've not been as good as what we thought they'd be since the last time we won it.
Charlotte Edwards came in and they've been in the pits of misery; they've done so much fitness. They'd play a game and then go and run on the track afterwards. Their fielding has improved as well. Time will tell. I've not seen them as a group since last summer. I trust what Charlotte Edwards says.
Alex Hartley: Ollie Robinson had to grow up, but I think he has
Alex Hartley: Ollie Robinson has said sorry for upsetting Brendon McCullum, and I think he's grown up a little bit, he had to. He has to now let his cricket do the talking because he is good enough, we've seen that. As soon as he starts taking wickets again, people will start talking.
David Lloyd: The issue with him was that he was unfit. Coming back for his third spell, there was nothing there.
Michael Vaughan: If he's fit enough and he has that zip, I'm picking him because I need a tone-setter.
