Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad team news
Mumbai's focus has shifted from an unlikely play-off run to avoiding the wooden spoon. For that reason Jasprit Bumrah will probably still be available to them. Ishan Kishan is worth a drop for Vishnu Vinod, though.
Possible XI: Rohit/Nabi (subs), Vinod, Yadav, Tilak, Hardik, Wadhera, David, Chawla, Coetzee, Bumrah, Thushara
Sunrisers dropped Aiden Markram for the last game for Marco Jansen. It was an odd call because the like-for-like pick would have been Glenn Phillips. Domestic batter Anmolpreet Singh, who is unconvincing to say the least, may be subbed in or out for a Jaydev Unadkat or Mayank Markande.
Possible XI: Head, Abhishek, Anmolpreet/Unadkat (subs), Reddy, Klaasen, Samad, Shahabaz, Jansen, Cummins, Kumar, Natarajan
Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad pitch report
The run fest expected for Mumbai v KKR at the Wankhede did not materialise with the visitors defending 169. Given the history of runs at the ground it is hard not to think it was a one off. Both batting sides have power and both teams to score markets are prohibitively priced. A par line for overs players at 204.5 at even money may not be a bad ploy.
Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad match odds
Mumbai are once again favourites for a game they have no right to win. Sunrisers have shown themselves to be superior in every department. That's not hard when a team comes up against Mumbai, however.
There are even signs that Sunrisers have swotted up on death efficiency. They were impressive when holding their nerve against Royals.
Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad Exchange strategy
Despite Mumbai's collapse against KKR, there is a bias for the chaser at the Wankhede. And on a probable flat pitch, that gives us a way in for an in-play strategy.
We expect the side batting first to shorten up to at least 1.705/7 favourite status. Fingers crossed it is Mumbai so we can then take big prices about Sunrisers in the chase.
Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad player bets
With 13/53.60 top MI bat fav Rohit Sharma a potential non-runner as a sub if the hosts chase, there could be value elsewhere. Hardik Pandya isn't a bad shout at 15/28.50. For Sunrisers we will look to steal a couple of points in-play on the 4/15.00 that Heinrich Klaasen is top SRH bat. He is being underused but a flat surface should keep him interested for a blitzkrieg at the back end.
