Southern Brave have lost their opening two matches. It's not ideal that pre-tournament favourites, MI London, are in town even if they have lost a game themselves.

It is not hugely surprising Brave are struggling. Before a ball was bowled they looked to have a poorly balanced group. They were beaten by Welsh Fire by six wickets and gave a better account of themselves in a five-run loss to Sunrisers.

Unfortunately batting and bowling are a concern. They conceded 187 on the road at Headingley and managed only 135 against Fire batting first.

It would be reasonable to reckon the on-field work improves, though. Jofra Archer has had a quiet start and should come good. Adil Rashid, Marcus Stoinis, Dan Worrall, Luke Wood and Chris Jordan are good options.

Maybe not the batting. They have picked too many finishers, meaning Stoinis is at No 3 followed by David Miller, Nik Chaudhary and Tristan Stubbs. These are all No 6 hitters.

London were also beaten by Fire in a chase when it looked as though batters left it to each other. A line-up including Sam Curran, Nic Pooran and Sherfane Rutherford in the engine room should really get a team home from 72 for two chasing 168.

MI London are the right favourites but Betfiar Sportsbook's 8/131.61 does seem a little skinny, particularly as this is the venue with the biggest chase bias in the tournament. It stands at a 70% win rate for the side bowling first. This is largely because the first-innings average score is the second-lowest in the tournament at 141.

Our interest will be on Stoinis. Pushed up to No 3 makes him extremely appealing for man of the match. He should be bang in the game and the rose Bowl surface should suit his style. We expect him to win at some stage.

Sunrisers Leeds versus the Super Giants should be a thrilling affair. Will it be the Leeds' power-packed top-order which come out on top or the Super Giants' superb death bowling?

We probably don't need to worry about that as there is a clear angle which we should play, stripping out the strengths and weaknesses of either team. And that's runs.
Sportsbook offer over 155.5 first-innings runs. It's a quote which just isn't high enough. The average is up and climbing at Headingley from a pre-tournament 162. Leeds whacked 187 against Brave.

Other runs-related prices which catch the eye are a ton in the match at 17/29.50 and the both teams to score odds. Both for 170, 180 and 180 have appeal at 11/43.75, 6/17.00 and 13/114.00.

In-play, don't rule out the chaser going close at big odds. Particularly if it is MSG. We would rate them as a better outfit than Leeds, who are likely to struggle in the field as the tournament progresses.

We have this down as a choice affair but Sportsbook reckon Leeds are the jollies at 4/51.80. MSG may show they are the best team in this tournament at some stage so the even money is incorrect.
