The bad news for those hoping for a slip from the top four - and perhaps the Kiwis - is that Australia are about to get stronger. Travis Head's return feels imminent and he will be a significant upgrade on Marnus Labuschagne. A hammering of the Netherlands could mean the Aussies are finding their range.

Kane Williamson remains a doubt so Will Young gets a stay of execution. They could do with more from Trent Boult, who has been strangley quiet. Tim Southee remains on the sidelines a an option (fitness permitting) but it would be a bld move to axe Boult.

We will keep faith with Trent Boult as he's overdue a success for top bowler and he was top series wicket-taker in the series last year. He has taken more wickets against Australia than anyone else and only versus West Indies does he have a superior strike rate.
