Trent Rockets v Oval Invincibles
Wednesday 17 August, 19.00
TV: Live on Sky Sports
Team news
Rockets are, of course, without Joe Root. Rashid Khan remains on Afghanistan duty. Tabraiz Shamsi is his replacement and will probably play his last game, with Rashid due to come back this week.
Possible XI: Hales, Malan, Kohler-Cadmore, Munro, Cockbain, Patel, Gregory, Sams, L Wood, Cook, Shamsi
Jason Roy's atrocious form continues. At some stage he will have to be dropped. But Will Jacks scored the second format ton in victory over Brave. Rilee Rossouw is back in the team.
Possible XI: Roy, Jacks, Rossouw, Billings, S Curran, Cox, Narine, T Curran, Briggs, Topley, Hasnain
Pitch report
Rockets managed 147 in the one match at Trent Bridge so far. In four matches last term, three first-innings scores were 135 or lower. It's looked a little stodgy and offered grip for spinners although Rashid Khan went for almost two runs a ball in the outing this term. It's a game to short the runs par line if it creeps up into the the late 140s. Bet the market here
How to play
Rockets are 1.875/6 with Ovals 2.1211/10. Local knowledge could be the key. If Rockets can chase, their experience on a tacky surface may prove the difference. We'll look for 2.01/1 in play. Bet the market here
Tops value
Dawid Malan has been boosted to 11/4 for top Rockets bat and Rossouw 10/3 for top Oval. Sam Curran is probably overpriced at 13/2 for the latter considering he's batted up the order. Narine is 22s and could open if Roy is dropped. Bet the markets here
