This could well be a knockout game between two sides who have played more matches than any others. With five wins likely to be needed to make the top four, both have three chances left to reach that figure.

Kingsmen have been aware of their must-win status for two matches and have kept themselves alive. Kings suffered a disappointing, but not unexpected, loss to Guyana Amazon Warriors last time out.

Tim Seifert's arrival had been delayed post the Hundred but he looks likely to be involved this time. One player who won't be is Noor Ahmad. The spinner had his no-objection certificate removed by the Afghan board. His replacement is South Africa all-rounder Obus Pienaar.

There appears to be a big push by Kings. Jewel Andrew, the batter, has also been replaced by John Campbell. We're not sure that switch makes any impact whatsoever.

Still, we suspect Kings are minded to give it a right go and we're not convinced by the Jamaica surge, particularly as they are favourites. One of their two wins came against the Patriots, who remain rock-bottom, and a Trinbago side who have a habit of losing their second match of the tournament.

The key should be the toss. From the last 22 matches at Gros Islet, 14 have been won by the chaser. If the flip goes Kings' way and they make the right call we expect to get around 2.1511/10 on the Betfair Exchange.

Trinbago have played only twice despite the tournament being in its third week. One win and one defeat has them second-bottom but that could change quickly.

Defeat by Jamaica was not wholly surprising in the context of their consistent tardy starts. They often lose their second game of the competition. Whether they can roar back depends on a durable Falcons.

The rags of the tournament before a ball was bowled and this column's chance pick for glory, they remain in the mix having beaten Patriots on Friday. They have won two from four and have been bolstered by player arrivals at exactly the right time.

Shadab Khan, the Pakistan all-rounder, took 1 for 22 and then hit 30 from 12 in a thrilling chase against Patriots. Their depth is ridiculous with Kusal Perera at No 7. It could also be argued that's a ridiculous waste of resources.

When prices become available, Shadab could well be a decent play for top Falcons bat. We're also keeping a close eye on Karima Gore who has moved to No 3, although it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Kusal pitched up there at some point. Falcons wouldn't be the worst option at 2.427/5 on the Betfair Exchange.
