Texas Super Kings team news
Texas, the table-toppers, are looking a much better balanced XI now they have found room for Daniel Sams, the Aussie all-rounder. The top four looks more solid, too, with Cody Chetty, the South African picked as a domestic player, at No 3. The big difference, though, is 'home' star Mohammad Mohsin. The leggie is the top wicket-taker in the tournament.
Probable XI: Conway, Du Plessis, Chetty, Miller, Santner, Bravo, Sams, Kumar, Mohsin, Zia-ul-Haq
Seattle Orcas team news
The Orcas have won both their matches and a win here guarantees them a play-off spot barring a net run rate disaster. By restricting big hitters San Francisco to 144 and Washington to 142, they look to have the meanest attack in the tournament at this stage.
Probable XI: De Kock, Anwar, Jayasuriya, Klaasen, Hetmyer, Ranjane, Imad, Gannon, Parnell, Harmeet, Tye
Morrisville pitch report
The tournament has moved from Dallas to Morrisville and the wicket played a little better than expected for batters in Freedom's defeat of Knight Riders. The latter became only the fourth side in the last nine to bust more than 160 with 176.
Still, an apparent chase bias held with only three of those defended. We do need to be careful on trends, though, because Knight Riders are hopeless. With both bowing teams tight playing under a par line in the high 160s is sound.
Texas Super Kings v Seattle Orcas match odds
Seattle could settle at around the 2.111/10 mark when the market matures a bit. And that should be recognised as value. There's very little to choose between the sides and it has the feel of a pick 'em affair.
It is true that both have measly bowling attacks, Texas with an average economy of 6.8 and Seattle 7.1. The difference, then, could be middle-order power. Seattle's Henrich Klaaasen, Shimron Hetmyer and Imad Wasim are superior.
Texas Super Kings v Seattle Orcas player bets
Is this time for Faf Du Plessis to deliver? He has an average of 55 on the match-up against Wayne Parnell, Imad Wasim and AJ Tye with a strike rate of 166. Sportsbook may boost him to around the 3/14.00 mark.
