Betfair Pools: How to play for your chance to win a share of £10m

What is it?
Put simply, Betfair Pools offers bettors the chance to bet on the outcome of football results and scores. Amounts staked are placed into a big pot (or 'pool') and the winning players share the total pool, minus any deductions. The prize fund is guaranteed, so winners will always win a significant payout which is divided by the amount of players that won on that particular round of fixtures.
Betfair Pools is offered on major football matches across Europe, and for some bets you'll need to select the correct score in each of the games, while in others you'll be able to select the correct outcome (home win, away win or draw). Of course, to win the bet you'll need to select the correct score or outcome, but if you don't there are occasionally consolation prizes available should you come close to a full house. How do I win?
To win a share of the big £10m you need to correctly predict seven scores, and should you achieve that you're guaranteed a share of total prize money which will total at least £5m. Following that there's a chance to win an additional share of at least another £5m by correctly predicting the score of a bonus game the following week. And it gets better - if you don't quite get all the scores correct but you predict the outcomes successfully, you'll be eligible for a share of a sizable consolation pool.
There's also a chance to 'Cash-In' your bet at certain points should you potentially have a winning ticket. Betfair Pools will offer you an amount that you can choose to Cash-In, netting you a guaranteed amount of money for the entire ticket or a portion of it. Of course, should you accept the offer for all of your ticket, the money will be credited to your account and you will no longer be entitled to any further winnings if your bet is successful. If you Cash-In 50% of your ticket, you will then be credited with the remaining 50% should your bet go on to be a winner. Cash-In can be offered between games or occasionally at half-time during certain matches.

How much is it?
As a bettor, you have the option to choose a range of stakes per play - 20p, 50p, £1 or £2 - and your prize will be adjusted by the same ratio to your stake, dependent on the default stake. The default stake for The £10m Colossus is £2, and should you select a lower stake, the amount you stand to win if successful is adjusted accordingly.
The other factor that determines how much you stand to win if successful is the amount of other winning tickets. So, if three tickets all successfully picked seven correct scores in The Colossus, the £5m is divided by three. If you're the only winner, the £5m is all yours.
