Danish poker professional Peter "Zupp" Jepsen has signed an exclusive sponsorship deal with Betfair Poker.

The Internet and tournament specialist joins the "New Breed" at Betfair Poker which includes the likes of Annette Obrestad , Sorel Mizzi and John Tabatabai.

The Dane won the 2007 EPT Warsaw event and came third in the 2006 Caribbean Poker Classic. As well as winning millions online he was also involved in the largest online hand in history (at the time) against Tom Dwan when he scooped $499k in under a minute.

"I am looking forward to starting my sponsorship with Betfair Poker," said Jepsen.

"They have been really welcoming and I already feel part of the team. It's given me new impetus to go out and get a big win under my belt.

"I am also looking to play some high stakes cash games on Betfair Poker against the other pros and players."

Bruce Stubbs, Head of Betfair Poker said: "When we are looking for new players we look for young, successful online players who have the ability to perform well at offline tournaments.

"We now have four of the best multi-disciplined sponsored players in the industry and am confident that Peter will feel right at home on the Betfair Poker tables."

Jepsen is currently in Copenhagen for the EPT event and, just as Annette Obrestad did when winning the WSOPE in 2007, will be hoping to win a major event under first-time sponsorship with Betfair Poker.
