Hand of the Week Jackpot Winner Takes Home 10k Euros

Mr TM never considered himself the luckiest of poker players but the Betfair Poker regular is thanking the poker gods after scooping an amazing 10,200 euros when claiming the Hand of the Week Jackpot recently.

"I was astounded to hit the jackpot - I generally consider myself to be a 'if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all' kind of guy like a lot of poker players no doubt!" said the lucky winner.

The money will be spent financing his honeymoon according to the player who has been with Betfair Poker since 2008.

"I'm getting married at the end of August and wasn't sure where the spending money for the honeymoon was coming from so this can certainly ease that requirement!"

The UK-based winner was attracted to the fact the jackpot was free to enter but never expected to win.

"I noticed the hand of the week promotion that was available on the 'Big Win' tables and thought since it didn't cost to enter why not? - had to be worth a go although obviously I never expected to hit the jackpot."
