Carl Harris is still on a high from Sariska's masterful performance at the Curragh but he's managed to pull out a couple of tips from Monday's UK fare.

When I advised Sariska yesterday to win the Irish Oaks I thought she would handle conditions better than her rivals, but I honestly didn't expect it to be quite so easy. Odds against on Betfair, in a Classic, I honestly have never seen an easier winner of a Group One. The good news, for me at least, is that I will get to see her at York for the Yorkshire Oaks next, which will be fantastic.

There is nothing anywhere near the class of Sariska on show today with the best advice being to take it easy. There are a couple of sporting investments that catch the eye on Monday.

At Ayr, Hotham (3.30) has tumbled down the handicap and races from a mark of only 69 having shown some signs of winning last time out. Rated 85 not that long ago, Noel Wilson must be hugely frustrated with his charge but could not have found a better race to relieve that stress today. He surely must win this, but as his handicap profile suggests he is not the most reliable horse. We will get a good price and I advise a small investment on Hotham.

A much more solid bet is Plymouth Rock (9.00) who returns to Windsor after making a winning racecourse debut four weeks ago. Jeremy Noseda's colt runs in a handicap, for the first time, from a mark of 82, which could be fair for the well bred son of Saddler's Wells. Connections will be eyeing better races than this grade in future and I would expect Plymouth Rock to win tonight.
