Glorious Goodwood starts tomorrow so we'll need to get a few quid in the bank ahead of the start by finding a couple of winners today, says Carl Harris.

With a fantastic week in front of us at Glorious Goodwood and at Galway (having already had a fantastic weekend with big winners at York) then today is a good day to pick a couple of winners from some of the less fashionable races across the country.

I'm certainly not interested in anything on the flat today, there are three uninspiring meetings and the jumps card at Uttoxeter offers a couple of small betting opportunities.

Last time out at Worcester, you may recall, I advised Rhinestone Ruby (6.15) and she reappears this evening at Uttoxeter in a mares novice hurdle. She will have to concede seven pounds to her rivals but i think she can do so and will have a small bet on her to get the better of Tony McCoy's mount, Souixsanna Vic.

The bet of the day runs in the bumper where Danimix (8.55) is looking to follow up his excellent Worcester win for the excellent Tim Vaughan. I backed the second, Budwiser, that day having been told it was a very well fancied horse. The first two pulled well clear of the field, with Budwiser finishing 16 lengths in front of the field except Danimix who got his measure by seven lengths. This is a very decent sort and should readily win this, I only hope we get a decent price!
