Newbury twice catches the eye of our man today...
The 2.10 at Newbury is certainly not a two horse race in my opinion and I do like the look of Mahogany Blaze at a decent price in both the win and place markets in this decent contest. Currently the choice is [9.4] in the win and [3.3] in the place market and I will be backing him in both markets. This young horse could take the field a long way in this contest and if getting loose on the lead could go all the way and will probably trade quite a bit shorter in running after 3 or 4 fences.
A little later on at 3.20, Blue Bajan will be carrying my money in this very hot contest. At present the selection is trading at [8.6] for the win and I have all already pressed the button and taken this price. This horse has some very smart flat form in the book and just failed by a head to beat Marahel in Group 3 company at Chester less than a year ago. He has fared reasonably well over hurdles winning a couple of week contests. As long as his jumping stands up to examination today he could go very close in this race with his superior flat speed.
Today's Selections:
Newbury 2.10 - Mahogany Blaze, Win and Place
Newbury 3.20 - Blue Bajan, Win
