"Rays Deal is in form, has a good strike rate, has a 33% wining return to runs ratio in this grade and will more than likely lead at the first bend. She’s worth a bet today."
Another pair of bets from the world of BAGS racing...
Minerva Rose looks to be have been given a great chance of getting back to winning ways today in Hall Green's 1.19pm.
The Westmead Joe 2007 whelp had been contesting A5's prior to re-trialling on August 11, but came back in this A6 level to lead all bar the line on Saturday. She makes a quick reappearance today and drawn in the red box she has every chance of making every yard in this 480 metres contest.
Minerva Rose has posted a rapid 29.23 in a trial and when on the bunny is mighty difficult to pass. Drawn outside her in two is Fionntra Eagle who is a dog who invariably runs middle to rails and who has been running out of trap three recently. That will make Minerva Rose's job a little easier - especially as the trap three runner, Benlass Bluesky, is an early running rail to middler who may actually be inconvenienced by having Fionntra Eagle inside her, especially as she has recently been beaten in A7's. In short, Minerva Rose should have space to manoeuvre today.
Traps five and six are dangers, but I am hoping that Minerva Rose from her inside berth can get on the bunny early - if she does that she has every chance of making all.
Over at Belle Vue, Rays Deal from trap four in the 3.58pm looks worth a bet. The Racing Post have napped the blue jacketed Rathgar Princess, who has chances without question; but what that means, win or lose, is we'll probably get a nice price on Rays Deal. I'm expecting around [4.5] to [5.0] for our fellow.
The April 2006 black bitch has been running at the top of her game recently and is 3 from 9 in this A6 grade. She's no spring chicken, having run 44 times around the track, but has a decent 25% strike rate and is almost certain to lead at the first bend here. If she does turn round the second bend in the lead it will take a handily placed stayer to mow her down late on. If trap 2 or trap 6 turned handy I would be worried, but hopefully trap three and trap one will be ahead of those rivals at the first turn.
Rays Deal is in form, has a good strike rate, has a 33% wining return to runs ratio in this grade and will more than likely lead at the first bend. She's worth a bet today.
