'James’s best poker result was winning a package via Betfair Poker for the GSOP series final event in the Dominican Republic'
Anticipation is mounting as later tonight the fourth Team Betfair WSOP trial will take place. Two players will triumph over a large field to win a trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas and play in WSOP event 59!
Last Wednesday that's exactly what James Woolgrove and Sergej Krapivin did in the third trial but just who are they and what makes them tick?
James Woolgrove plays on Betfair Poker under the alias Pepper Army. James is a 43 year old project manager for Tesco in England.
James first started playing poker six years ago when he accidentally stumbled across it online and found it fascinating. 5 years ago he started playing on Betfair and has continued doing ever since due to the community feel of the site and the nice simple software. James says his style is cool, calm and collected on the table and his favourite hand is pocket aces. James's favourite poker player is Keith A as apparently he never loses. James's best poker result was winning a package via Betfair Poker for the GSOP series final event in the Dominican Republic, James also qualified for the two previous GSOP events in Salzburg and Prague on Betfair.
James has been lucky enough to visit Vegas before and loves the way Vegas never goes to sleep. He has not played in the WSOP before and says he is really looking forward to testing himself against the best. If James wins event 59 he says he would definitely buy into the main event!
In his spare time James loves indie music and his favourite band is The Foo Fighters. His favourite film is The Commitments. Just to show that James is not lucky all the time he is a big Liverpool FC supporter.

Sergej Krapivin is a 25 year old from Germany who plays on Betfair Poker under the alias Alphasonikk and is currently unemployed.
Sergej has been playing poker for 10 years now and first got interested due to the media interest in Germany at the time. He started playing on Betfair Poker four years ago and says he likes the freerolls and the promotional prizes on offer at Betfair. Sergej quite sensibly like James says his favourite hand is pocket aces and he describes his playing style as tight and cautious. He says winning this package to Vegas for the WSOP is easily his best poker result.
Sergej has never visited Vegas before and says he is most looking forward to the glamour and atmosphere of the city. The bright lights are going to be amazing but he says he won't be dazzled. Sergej says if he wins event 59 he would use the money to fund his poker career.
Hip Hop music is what Sergej mainly listens to when he wants to relax although his favourite group is Russian rock band Kino. His favourite film is Brat and his favourite TV program is The Chappelle Show.
