Schneider Snares Second at 2013 WSOP During Action-Filled Week
Schneider's success this summer is inspiring a lot of table talk about the WSOP Player of Year race. He currently sits in second behind Daniel Negreanu in that race, with both players having earned WSOP POY honors before (Negreanu in 2004 and Schneider in 2007).
The 2013 World Series of Poker is fast approaching the halfway mark with the Main Event now only a couple of weeks away. Hellmuth-like, I've now made my late arrival to Las Vegas to join my Betfair Poker colleague Matthew Pitt, and we're both enjoying following and reporting on all of the action, with a dozen more bracelets having been won over the last week including a second of the summer by Tom Schneider.
Here's a look at who has been taking away the biggest prizes from the tournaments at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino over the last week.

Schneider picked up his seventh cash of the summer last night, by the way, and his success is inspiring a lot of table talk about the WSOP Player of Year race. He currently sits in second behind Daniel Negreanu in that race, with both players having earned WSOP POY honors before (Negreanu in 2004 and Schneider in 2007). Graham started the last day 14th of 14, but managed to come all of the way back to defeat Marco Johnson heads-up to win. Erick Lindgren added a nice follow-up to his second-place finish at the WPT Championship last month by winning his second career WSOP bracelet last night in the $5K short-handed NLHE event, his first having come back in 2008. Lindgren beat a field of top-level players in this one, likely one of the tougher NLHE tourneys to crack at this summer's WSOP. Jonathan Little took the chip lead into Day 3 before finishing third, while Lee Markholt battled gamely to take runner-up. Andrew Robl (7th) bubbled the final table, with Allen Bari (9th) and Dan Smith (11th) also among those coming one table shy of the last one.
