Jukka Hurme is a 32 year old from Finland who plays on Betfair Poker under the alias of MaitoWalas. Jukka is employed as a logistics co-ordinator who is on alternate leave until September.
Jukka started playing poker in 2006 having seen the WPT on television but started playing seriously in 2007 after he 'luckboxed' a tournament winning over $4k beating more than 2300 players. He now concentrates mainly on small stakes cash games and his progress in this discipline he cites as his greatest poker achievement. Jukka's favourite hand is pocket aces and his favourite player is Phil Ivey because he is simply the best although he is also an admirer of Tom Dwan. Jukka says his playing style is generally tight aggressive but he is always ready to adapt his style to the table if necessary.
Jukka has been playing on Betfair Poker on and off since 2008 but recently plays mostly here as he really likes the Ongame software. Jukka has previously been to Vegas on three occasions but this will be the first time he has taken his girlfriend. Whilst in Vegas Jukka is most looking forward to playing in the WSOP because the last time he played in it he lasted only three hours and he feels he has a point to prove. If he wins WSOP Event 59 Jukka says he will extend his leave from work and concentrate more on his poker.
Jukka is a rock music fan with his favourite band being Dire Straits. His favourite films are the Lord of the Rings trilogy and his favourite television show is Breaking Bad. Jukka loves football and he supports the Italian national team.
