The 2012 World Series of Poker bracelet

The bracelet for the Main Event is yet to be revealed but Jason of Beverley Hills has said the bracelet will be made up of more than 160 grand of 14 karat gold and contain over 35 carats of flawless diamonds!

The 2012 World Series of Poker is just days away and thousands of poker players, including dozens of members from Team Betfair, will be descending on Las Vegas, Nevada in an attempt to win a life-changing sum of money and of course a coveted WSOP bracelet; the Holy Grail of tournament poker.

Each year there is much excitement surround the bracelets as a new design is released. The 43rd Annual WSOP will have its bracelets made by Jason Arasheben, better-known simply as "Jason of Beverly Hills," a company that has created jewellery for the likes of NBA star LeBron James, Tom Cruise, Sean Combs and the late Michael Jackson. He has a reputation for creating over the top and gaudy pieces, in fact the pendant he made for Lil Jon is named in the Guinness Book of Records for being the largest in the world.

Surprisingly the bracelets he has created for this year's series are actually quite tame and some may even describe them as boring - when compared to his other creations. The bracelet itself is made of gold but there is very little in the way of detailing of the strap or the actual faceplate. The four suits are represented on the faceplate with the heart and diamonds being made up of white diamonds and the spade and club black diamonds. The WSOP logo is there with the word "poker" being in red. You can see the bracelet, which will be awarded in the 66 preliminary events, in the image that accompanies this article.

The bracelet for the Main Event is yet to be revealed but Jason of Beverley Hills has said the bracelet will be made up of more than 160 grand of 14 karat gold and contain over 35 carats of flawless diamonds! The heart and diamond logo will be made up of rubies with the spade and club being crafted from black diamonds. He claims it will become the most expensive piece of championship jewellery across major sports.

"We are honoured to have the opportunity to crate this masterpiece for the World Series of poker and it will go down as the most expensive piece of championship jewellery across all major sports. We will tour this bracelet in our Las Vegas and Beverley Hills boutique so the world can bear witness to this historic work of art," said Jason of Beverley Hills.

As soon as images of this "masterpiece" are made public we will bring them to you here on the Betfair Poker blog.
