The Serbian is a regular on the European poker circuit but that big win seems to have eluded him thus far

At the start of the week a total of 396 players descended on the unique Montesino in Gasometer City in Vienna, Austria to participate in the Vienna leg of the World Poker Tour. Of those entrants 390 have been eliminated and the final table has been set. Leading the way going into it is Ognjen Sekularac.

The Serbian is a regular on the European poker circuit but that big win seems to have eluded him thus far. He has a couple of wins in relatively small events but this would be his first major. At time of writing his biggest cash is for €77,000 which he was awarded for finishing second to Scott Baumstein in the €10,000 High Roller at the Amsterdam Masters in November 2011. Now he is on course to help himself to over $400,000 by taking down the WPT Vienna Main Event.

Sekularac starts the day armed with 3,930,000 and has a healthy lead over the man in second place Morten Christensen. The Dane is already guaranteed to smash his biggest ever live cash but could his inexperience on the big stage hinder his chances in this particular event. He has 2,540,000 chips at his disposal.

This writer's prediction is that the man who starts the day in third place will walk away with the honours in the closing event of this season's European based World Poker Tour. Ben Wilinofsy, better-known as NeverScaredB, begins the final day with 2,270,000 chips in his stack and is poised for his second major live title. The young Vegan has already amassed over $2,600,000 in online tournament winnings thanks in part to his completely bonkers style of play and of course, he won the Vienna leg of the European Poker Tour last year for a cool €825,000. The Canadian is the type of player who could bust out within minutes or find himself hoovering up all the chips at the table; I think it will be the latter that occurs.

The final table gets underway, under the guidance of renowned tournament director Matt Savage at 13:00 Central European Time and it will continue until just one man is sat their with all of the chips. Who will that be? Check in tomorrow to find out!
