Jonny Clayton has never failed to reach finals night when selected for the Premier League and is looking a certainty to reach The O2 now with a third nightly win of the campaign returning him to the sumit of the table. Winner of this event in 2021, the Welsh number one is now 13/27.50 to become the fourth player in history to win this tournament more than once.
The Ferret was one of four Premier League players who opted to compete in the Players Championship events in Wigan at the start of the week, along with Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock and very interestingly, Luke Humphries who was probably looking to the floor events to find that extra spark.
Price will be the Darling of the Dutch
For four consecutive weeks of this year's darting roadshow, Luke Littler was the player to thwart Gerwyn Price's progress, with two of those meetings going to a deciding leg. It means that the reigning World Champion has now come out on top in 14 of their last 15 encounters, after a spell where Price seemed to have The Nuke's number.
Littler is expected to receive a hostile reception in Rotterdam due to his running with Gian van Veen in Manchester. The only time we've seen the 19-year-old in action since then was in an eyebrow raising defeat to The Bullet in Brighton, where he averaged 84 - his lowest ever in this event and only the third time he's averaged below 90 in the tournament.
We all know that Littler, even more than most, is capable of putting a poor performance behind him to obliterate his next opponent but given how the crowd are likely to be and that his opponent has been tremendously consistent throughout this campaign, at 6/42.50 I'm backing The Iceman to claim the two points.
I was also keen to see the highest checkout line in this one too and was very tempted when I saw it at +116.5. Price has the highest checkout percentage in this year's Premier League and is one of three players this year to have taken out a 170, we also know how frequently Littler likes to leave finishes like the big fish.
Between the two, they've reeled it in six times this campaign as well as producing numerous other big combination finishes so at 5/61.84, I like the look of it.
Back a highest checkout of +116.5
Confidence quest for Cool Hand
If you'd asked anyone for their play-off picks for this year and how they predicted certain players would fare, I don't think there'd have been many, if any, who'd have said Luke Humphries would be languishing down in seventh place and at risk of not making finals night.
Competing on the Pro Tour earlier this week, the 2024 World Champion was eliminated at the Last 16 stage on Monday in Wigan before falling at the first hurdle the following day and whilst there were some good displays along the way, he didn't have things easy and won't have felt overly comfortable at many stages throughout.
Maybe he's been left with more questions than answers having had just 27% checkout success in defeat to Christian Kist in Players Championship 10.

Despite these woes, you have to admit that he has been desperately unlucky at times this Premier League campaign and on the whole, performed pretty consistently.
He has previously admitted though that this is far from his favourite stop on the circuit due to the venue being nutoriously windy, conditions that have a huge impact and often prevent some players from producing their absolute best.
His opponent will have the crowd behind him as he looks to build back up and start delivering more consistent performances to try and force his way back into the top four.
Gian van Veen has also enjoyed plenty of success against Cool Hand of late, winning seven of their last nine meetings including once in this tournament, last year's Matchplay and at Ally Pally in January.
I'm backing the Dutchman to prevail once again at 6/52.20.
Back Gian van Veen to win
