Fury odds-on to beat Joshua as fight finally confirmed

Tyson Fury is 8/151.53 favourite on the Betfair Sportsbook to beat Anthony Joshua in the much-anticipaed, all-British heavyweight clash after the fight was confirmed for Friday 11 December at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

The long-awaited fight, which has been an on-off saga for almost 10 years, will be broadcast live on American-owned streaming channel Netflix.

Although the fight's official date is Friday 11 December, it is expected that the ringwalks won't take place until the early hours of Saturday in the UK, a schedule that will cater for viewers in the USA.

Joshua is the 8/52.60 underdog on the Betfair Sportsbook, with the Draw priced up at 20/121.00.

Inspiring a generation, says AJ

Although the usually vocal Fury is yet to comment on the fight announcement, Joshua took to Instagram to say that he is "inspiring a generation".

The two fighters, both two-time world champions, are expected to come face-to-face for the first time since the fight was announced next Wednesday at a news conference in London.

Although the two fighters have never publicly declared hatred for each other, there have often been spats and squabbles between the pair on social media, often blaming each other for backing out of previous proposed fights, which should make for fantastic entertainment in the weeks building up to December's clash.
