Ffos Las, 14:30 - 'Horse In Focus' Rest Is The Best can build on recent promise
Rest Is The Best made no impact in a trio of two-mile maiden/ novice races, but she has fared much better since going handicapping up in trip.
She looked to be struggling early in the straight when making her handicap debut over 19.5 furlongs at Chepstow, but she responded well to pressure and ran on strongly to be beaten less than a length and three-quarters in fourth. She again impressed with her finishing effort when going even closer over the same course and distance last month, missing out by only three-quarters of a length in second.
The way she charged up the run-in caught the eye of Timeform's reporter who awarded the Horse In Focus Flag, marking Rest Is The Best out as one likely to be of firm interest next time. She will be suited by the extra half-furlong on offer at Ffos Las and looks a big player on the back of two promising efforts. She heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 3 lb.

Plumpton, 16:45 - Top-rated Taritino stands out on the figures
Taritino had been disappointing on his first few starts over hurdles this winter but put in a much better display - right up there with his best over jumps by Timeform's reckoning - when successful at Taunton last week.
Taritino was outpaced turning for home and looked to be playing for places when the favourite, Thankyouandplease, kicked clear early in the straight. However, Thankyouandplease was unable to sustain the effort and was overhauled up the run-in by the rallying Taritino who stuck to his task well to score by three lengths, with a further 11 lengths back to the third.
As that race was for conditional and amateur riders, Taritino escapes a penalty and is able to run off the same mark on Monday. He's clearly well treated and heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 5 lb, so he looks the one to beat.

Wolverhampton, 17:30 - Unexposed Magnetude looks a likely improver
Magnetude wasn't seen to best effect at Southwell last time, but he continued his theme of run-by-run progress and still has the Timeform 'small p' to show he's likely to carry on improving.
Magnetude was hampered in the early stages at Southwell and would have been suited by a stronger gallop dropping back to a mile, but he still made encouraging headway in the straight and ran on well inside the final furlong to be beaten less than a length in third.
Magnetude faces a much stiffer test of stamina over a mile and a half on his handicap debut, and the dam's side of his pedigree offers hope he'll relish the longer trip. He's from a family of useful middle-distance performers, including Father of Jazz and Liam Swagger who were both successful over hurdles.
