14:55, Newmarket - Lake Como can boost King's Trail form
This looks an intriguing three-year-old handicap which seems sure to throw up plenty of future winners given the potential on show.
It is the George Boughey-trained Lake Como who tops the list having caught the eye behind King's Trail, a fancied runner in the 2000 Guineas, at Kempton last time.
He showed only inexperience on his sole start for Aidan O'Brien last year, but he's flourished for this yard, winning a couple of times on the all-weather in December, and outrunning his odds in face of a stiff task last time.
Lake Como had to give a couple of unexposed and promising three-year-olds 3lb that day and time will more than likely tell that was a mammoth task. He's back in handicap company now, though, and his revised mark of 89 shouldn't prove beyond him.

15:10, Ascot - Ghost Mode has more to offer as a sprinter
Wise Approach has to shoulder a 4lb penalty for his win in the Middle Park Stakes last season and that could leave him vulnerable on his return.
It doesn't look the deepest renewal, and Ghost Mode has much better claims than his odds at the time of writing suggest. He had some useful form last year at around seven furlongs, but the return to six furlongs showed him in an even better light at Southwell in March.
That was his handicap debut and he proved himself some way ahead of his mark of 88, tanking through the race before showing a smart turn of foot to readily stretch clear. The return to turf won't be an issue and he only has 4lb to find with Brussels and Coppull, who are joint top rated on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.
Ghost Mode is arguably open to more improvement, though - he's the only one in the field with the 'Timeform small p' - and Colin Keane has an excellent strike rate (38%) for Andrew Balding.

15:45, Ascot - Remmooz can progress again this year
Remmooz only made his debut 12 months ago, but he made giant strides last season, looking potentially smart when winning his first two starts, and going on to prove that when winning a listed event at Newbury when last seen in September.
That was his fourth win from six starts in 2025, and he displayed a good attitude to edge out another smart performer in a tight finish, with the pair pulling clear of the remainder.
There's plenty about him physically to suggest he could develop into an even better four-year-old and he more than deserves this step back into pattern company. He represents a yard who often have their horses ready to roll after a break, too - Owen Burrows has a 22% strike rate with horses returning from an absence of 225 days or more.
Remmooz is the only runner in the field who still has the 'Timeform small p' attached to his rating, denoting he's open to further improvement, and he's taken to progress past some more exposed types.
